Jogless Color Change

For seamless color changes in the round.
Instructions
Preparation: You have completed the last round of the old color and are ready for the color change.
- Change to the new color and knit the entire first round normally according to your pattern. It's important to knit this round completely with the new color.
- When you arrive at the beginning of the second round with the new color, perform this step: Look at the stitch directly below the first stitch of your current (new) round. This is the stitch of the old color that is in the row below and now sits directly beneath the color change. Take your right-hand needle and insert it from bottom to top into the right leg of this identified stitch from the old color. Lift this stitch leg onto your left-hand needle. It now sits directly in front of the first stitch of the current (second) round of the new color. Knit this just-picked-up stitch together with the first stitch of the new color as a single knit stitch. To do this, insert your needle through both stitches simultaneously and knit them as one single knit stitch.
- Knit the remaining stitches of the second round with the new color as usual.
- To ensure a consistently clean color change, repeat this step with every subsequent color change, once you have knitted the first round of the new color and arrive at the beginning of the second round of the new color.
